Sergei Sokolov (born 12 March, 1977 in Russia, USSR) is a naturalized Azerbaijani football player.
Sokolov was invited by Shahin Diniyev to play for Azerbaijan, which Sokolov eared 4 caps in Euro 2008 qualifying, before tested positive after the match against Belgium, 11 October, 2006.[1]
He had been banned from football for 18 months in January 2007.[2]
